Spanish Wine Tasting: By Instituto Cervantes

6 pm to 8:30 pm Instituto Cervantes Albuquerque, in partnership with the National Hispanic Cultural Center and Farm & Table, is hosting a wine tasting seminar at both locations. Helio San Miguel, a Spanish professional from Madrid who works as New York’s correspondent for Club de Gourmets (Spain´s leading wine and food magazine) is the presenter. This event represents our love for gourmet Spanish products and desire to spread the word about them. 6 pm – 7 pm Beginning and Intermediate - This class is geared for teenagers and adults. Come learn footwork, partner skills and choreography. No experience necessary. 7 pm – 8 pm Intermediate and Advanced - In order to participate in this class, dancers must know how to keep time, closed position calls, dame, enchufla, and outside turn. Jugamos Juntos: ¡Vamos al Museo!

10:30 am to 12:00 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center is pleased to offer free children’s programming during the summer. During June, July, and the first Saturday in August, families will be able to come to the Center on Saturday mornings for hands-on art activities, bilingual sing-alongs, outdoor activities in the Bosque and to explore the science of cooking on a rotating basis. 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Salud y Sabor, a partnership between the Agri-cultura Network, Street Food Institute, and the NHCC, is a free evening of food, art, and entertainment aimed at providing families with an opportunity to connect around nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and culture. Once a month, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh, locally grown ingredients, as well as fun art activities for kids and adults, health screenings, and live entertainment.
